After reading chapters 5-6-7 and completing your 3-2-1, post your responses here.  What did you find most interesting?  What did you find most important?  Were you able to think about why these groups are most threatened?  What comments or questions do you have?

  1. Some solutions to preventing Gun Violence is Building a Freedom School in all 50 States.
    This Building give kids the way out of the gun life in which provides shelter, food, and a helping hand.
    Giving a helping hand decreases the access to guns and shows the right to guide your life. This gets teens off the streets, and also keeps them from being in the 82% of deaths among African Americans
    Freedom School is :
    * Open 24 Hours
    * No Discrimination
    * Accepts all Races and All Age's
    * Mainly African Americans, Women, and Children
    This Building Provides a different type of School, you don't just learn the basic courses you learn about life and the way it works. Also go on Field Trips giving you info about the society you live in .

    1. DaJour and Raven,
      Your post about opening a Freedom School in all 50 states brings up an interesting point. Your point about the school having mainly African Americans, Women and Children is good since they are the most threatened by guns. I also like your use of the statistics in your post. Keep up the good work.

  2. Thank you Ms. Diane for your thoughts on our Freedom School year-round solution.

    If you were in our situation, what would be your solution--the steps you would take to achieve these goals (please be as detailed as possible)?

    Thank you, DaJour and Raven

    1. Dajour and Raven,

      Thank you for your response. As to how I would achieve the goals of reducing the threat of gun violence, scholars such as yourselves are a good way to start. You have read the chapters, researched the topic and will now present what you learned in Washington D.C. Information is key and I like your thought about the needs of society, we need to be aware of who we are trying to educate to be effective. As far as details, I think working with the community, having buyback programs and providing assistance for those in situations with the threat of gun violence is a good way to start. Keep up the good work.

  3. Education Programs can stop Gun violence by giving a different type of alternative in a learning envoirment
    For Example being more open and interactive toward the learning subject in which is, to be introduced to the students. Also instead of learning about the basic courses, Introduce the society needs.
